Zuber & Taillieu

In his role as Of Counsel for Zuber & Taillieu, Ashwant Venkatram represents individuals and companies in international business transactions, entertainment transactions, and litigation issues.  His practice specializes in work related to India.  Ashwant has experience representing India-based clients in their US business and litigation matters, and works closely with local Indian counsel to guide US clients doing business in India.  Ashwant brings an active knowledge of the marketplace and business environment in India to his practice.

In addition to his India focused practice, Ashwant has significant experience in entertainment transactional work.  His clients include companies and talent in the film, music, television, sports and fashion industries.

Mr. Venkatram began his legal career at Alston and Bird and most recently worked at Harding, Larmore and Mullen, where he represented Fortune 500 companies and small to middle-market companies, primarily in litigation matters. 

Ashwant is also the co-founder of PeopleTree Legal, Inc., a legal outsourcing company based in Los Angeles and Chennai, India, which works in partnership with Exemplarr Worldwide Ltd., to provide legal services that help law firms serve their corporate clients cost-effectively.

Mr. Venkatram is actively involved in the Los Angeles community and abroad. He is a member and supporter of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Los Angeles Opera. Mr. Venkatram is also actively involved in UNICEF and provides pro bono legal advice to various international NGOs.
