Eric F. Galen

Eric Galen’s practice focuses on Internet, digital media, music/entertainment, and general corporate law and strategy.  For over a decade, Mr. Galen has provided sophisticated and practical advice to large companies, noteworthy entertainment professionals and fast-growing start-ups.  Prior to joining Zuber Taillieu, Eric practiced law at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker. 

Mr. Galen combines top educational and legal credentials with years of experience as an Internet and digital media entrepreneur and consultant.  He has worked with several new and established companies managing business development, Angel and VC financing, product development, executive and advisor recruitment, and technology firm selection and software development activities.  Eric is an active participant in Dealmaker LA, Digital LA, the Beverly Hills Bar Association and Twiistup.  His real-world experience and network of industry contacts bring unique added value to all of his clients.

Mr. Galen is a published author and speaker, and has been featured in Los Angeles Magazine, Super Lawyers Magazine, the Los Angeles Daily Journal and Music Connection.  Los Angeles Super Lawyers Magazine recognized Mr. Galen as a “Rising Star” in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

  • A large Japanese corporation, in the complex regulatory analysis of their inter-subsidiary financial practices under the California Finance Lenders Law;
  • An independent record label, managing the myriad contracts and negotiations involved in the creation, licensing and release of major tribute album;
  • A-list music producers and songwriters, as their trusted consigliore, handling all producer agreements, publishing deals, royalty disputes and partnership agreements;
