Mr. Matalon’s practice focuses on patent prosecutions and interferences, and patent and trade secret litigation. He has successfully prosecuted patents in diverse areas of technology, especially in the areas of biotechnology, chemistry and life sciences. In particular, he has successfully prosecuted patents in the areas of biophysical devices; efficient biotech/medical devices; diagnostic medical devices; therapeutic devices; pharmaceuticals; agricultural biotechnology; immunology; viral capsid assembly proteomics; bio-microelectromechanical systems; high throughput biomacromolecule crystallization and screening for structural drug design; proteomic-premised small molecule ligand pharmaco-designs; MEMS based pharmaco-delivery systems; array-based technologies; and other related areas. He also has experience in all phases of patent and trade secret litigation. Before joining Zuber & Taillieu LLP, Mr. Matalon ran his own specialty practice, and before that he practiced law at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Professional Corporation. Mr. Matalon is a member of the United States Patent Bar.
