Olivier Taillieu is a co-founder of Zuber & Taillieu LLP and currently sits on its Executive Committee. Mr. Taillieu’s practice consists exclusively of litigation, where he has excelled as a trial attorney. Mr. Taillieu’s expertise includes intellectual property and other commercial litigation. Mr. Taillieu’s expertise also extends to cases involving unfair competition, unfair business practices, copyrights, class actions, entertainment, and breach of contract.
Mr. Taillieu has extensive experience in both state and federal courts and has achieved outstanding results for his clients. His litigation expertise makes him a much sought-after guest on high-profile national and international television shows, including Good Morning America, Nightline, NBC Nightly News, The O’Reilly Factor, and many others. Mr. Taillieu began his career clerking for the Honorable Lourdes G. Baird in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and then for the Honorable A. Wallace Tashima on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He then practiced as a litigator in the Intellectual Property and Technology Department of the Los Angeles office of O’Melveny & Myers LLP.

- A technology company, in a series of related patent infringement and antitrust actions involving interactive program guides used in cable television set-top boxes;
- A manufacturer, in a high-stakes trademark infringement suit involving household-name trademarks, including successful defense of client through summary judgment to bring about a favorable settlement after almost ten years of litigation in Federal Court;
- A manufacturer, in a battle over household-name trademarks at the U.S.P.T.O.;
- A footwear designer and manufacturer, in a trademark infringement action involving the configuration of stripes on footwear;
- A film laboratory, in a patent infringement case involving injection molding machines for duplication of CDs;
- A beauty product retailer and manufacturer, in a trademark infringement case involving Antitrust Counterclaims;
- A lender, in a copyright infringement case involving customized software;
- A software company, in a copyright infringement case involving customized software for lenders; and
- A medical device company, in the enforcement of patent technology in the field of orthopedics.
