Raffi Zerounian is an associate in Zuber & Taillieu’s Litigation Department where he specializes in intellectual property litigation and commercial litigation. Mr. Zerounian’s practice also focuses upon trademark enforcement, clearance, counseling, and domestic and international prosecution, copyright prosecution and counseling, and internet domain name disputes.
Mr. Zerounian has managed all aspects of litigation, including having argued motions before state and federal courts. He is experienced in drafting complaints, settlement agreements, discovery requests/responses, motions for summary judgment, motions to compel, motions to dismiss, motions for preliminary injunction motions, and mediation briefs. He has also taken and defended depositions, and managed the production and review of document productions. Mr. Zerounian’s experience with trademark litigation include Trademark Trial and Appeal Board opposition and cancellation proceedings, UDRP proceedings, and foreign opposition proceedings and litigation. As part of his practice, Mr. Zerounian is also adept at managing international trademark portfolios.
Mr. Zerounian began his legal career as law clerk to The Honorable Ernest M. Robles, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California. While in law school, Mr. Zerounian served as extern to The Honorable Andrew J. Wistrich, Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and later served as a summer honors law clerk for the antitrust division of the California Department of Justice. Previous to joining Zuber & Taillieu, Mr. Zerounian practiced at Townsend and Townsend and Crew LLP (now Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP).
