Zuber & Taillieu represents Semco Instruments, Inc. in $73.5 million acquisition by TransDigm Group, Inc.
Los Angeles (September 3, 2010) – The acquisition of Zuber & Taillieu client Semco Instruments Inc. (“Semco”) by TransDigm Group Incorporated (NYSE: TDG) (“TransDigm”) for approximately $73.5 million in cash has closed. The deal was initially announced August 6, 2010.
Semco, headquartered in Valencia, California, benefited from a significant maquiladora operation in Nogales, Mexico. A leading manufacturer of components for turbo-prop, turbo-fan, and turbo-shaft engine manufacturers, and the preferred supplier of turbine engine components in North America, Semco’s major customers have included Pratt & Whitney, Hamilton Sundstrand, Sikorsky, Honeywell, General Electric, and the United States government.
Zuber & Taillieu attorneys represented the shareholders of Semco in connection with all aspects of the transaction.
